He spent most of his time  in Chattanooga. His father left him when he was one year old. So Usher grew up with his mom, step-father, and his half-brother.  When Usher was nine years old he joined  the local church in the youth choir in Chattanooga and during that time his grandmother discover his singing ability. Although it was until he joined a singing group and realized he could sing professionally. So then he wonder if he went to a bigger city he would have more opportunities as a singer so, his family moved to Atlanta, Georgia where there were more singer and a great environment for a beginning singer. While in Atlanta, Georgia he went to North Spring High School. At Jan. 21 2008 his father died of a heart attack.
In this paragraph I’ ll talk about Usher’s career and his music. When Usher was 11 he joined the local R&B called NuBiginning, which was organized by a local music Svengali called Darryl Wheeler. Usher recorded 10 songs with the group in 1991, and the next album was Nubiginning Featuring Usher Raymond IV, was only made for mail order. However, Patton took him out because of the music business because , according to her music rating, it was a “bad experience” for Usher. So then the album was re-released nationally in April 2002 by Hip-O Records.During 1993 through 1996 when Usher was 13 he completed on Star Search where he was spotted by an A&R representative from LaFace Records, who arranged and audition for Usher to L.A.Reid also known as the co-founder of LaFace Record named Reid, signed Usher a contract with the record company. Usher’s mother left her job as a medical technician to manage his career, but later their relationship as manage-client was breaking apart in May 2007. Usher was introduced on a song he recorded for the soundtrack ablum called “Call Me a Mack” to the 1993 drama-romance film Poetic Justice.
